About Calma Mamma Founder

Hi! My name is Erica. From the bustling streets of Buenos Aires to the peaceful mountains of Patagonia, my life has been full of unexpected twists. As an award-winning crime reporter, I spent years chasing stories that mattered—covering high-profile cases and uncovering hidden truths. My work took me to some of the biggest media outlets in the world, where I learned the power of information and its ability to make an impact.

But everything changed when I moved to Patagonia. It wasn’t just the breathtaking scenery that shifted my perspective—it was the way I began to see the role of journalism. When a volcanic eruption rocked the community, I didn’t just report the news, I became a lifeline for the people around me. That experience taught me what it truly means to use journalism as a service, and the recognition I received for that work reinforced my commitment to helping others.

After that experience, I decided to take my journalistic skills to the next level. I moved to New York City to refine my journalistic excellence and skills, eager to learn from the best and expand my horizons. It was in the city that I became a Tow Knight Fellow at CUNY (City University of New York), surrounded by brilliant minds pushing boundaries in media and technology.

After graduating and living in New York, I took six months to travel the world as a digital nomad, exploring new cultures and perspectives, and deepening my understanding of the world in ways I never expected.

I also worked with some of the world’s biggest NGOs, which opened my eyes to the deep connection between the environment and human health.

About two years ago, my world was turned upside down when my daughter began facing some important health challenges. It was the wake-up call I needed to rethink everything—how we eat, how we live, and how we care for ourselves. I made the decision to shift our family’s lifestyle, focusing on learning to heal through a therapeutic cuisine, and a nourishing, healthy diet. Daily meditation became also a key into our healing journey.

Now, my daughter is thriving, and seeing her progress has been a powerful reminder of how much our health is in our hands.

Because I’m passionate about helping other families live healthier, toxin-free lives, I decided to dedicate the next years of my life to helping others live a more connected, and healthier life. The lessons I’ve learned from my journey—both in my career and in my personal life—have shown me that small changes can lead to big transformations. I’m here to share that knowledge and support anyone ready to start their own wellness journey.
